A Recap of Our 2nd Annual LifeLung Walk Fundraising Triumph.

On behalf of the founders of LifeLung, we want to thank all of our participants, volunteers, and donors in the 2nd Annual LifeLung Walk! With their support, we joined over 200 people, raised over $14,000, and walked over 150 miles collectively.

Through the LifeLung Walk, our goal is to connect and help those diagnosed, at risk and the people who love them. We hope the walk not only offered everyone a platform to raise awareness and support for lung cancer and lung disease but also an opportunity to connect with others in our community and create lasting friendships.

Sincerely,

LifeLung Nonprofit

LifeLung Health.

Prioritize your lung health.

There are some important things you can do to reduce your risk of lung disease. Here are some ways to keep your lungs healthy.

Fun Facts about Breathing, and Lungs.

  • People who have a large lung capacity can send oxygen around their body faster. Increase your lung capacity with regular exercise. Some of the best cardio exercises to expand lung capacity are running, jogging, and swimming.

  • If stretched out, the total surface area of lungs would be about the same size as half a tennis court. Also, the total length of the airways running through them is 1,500 miles. That's about the distance from Chicago to Las Vegas.

  • Your left and right lungs aren’t exactly the same. The lung on the left side of your body is divided into two lobes. The lung on your right side is divided into three. The left lung is also slightly smaller, allowing room for your heart.

Hope is to our spirits what oxygen is to our lungs.
